About Us

“In returning to nature, we remember who we truly are.”

Our Approach

Brought together by a shared passion for nature, healing, and meaningful human connection, we created this experience as a space for reflection, transformation, and return.

Our paths are different in expression, yet rooted in the same intention: to guide others back to themselves through the intelligence of the body, the wisdom of nature, and the power of presence.

With Heather’s depth in therapeutic work and Emma’s connection to the land, this retreat brings together inner and outer landscapes. A space where personal exploration is supported by nature, and where nature becomes part of the process.

Together, we hold a space that is both grounded and expansive, structured yet intuitive, offering guidance while allowing each experience to unfold naturally.

Emma Lehmann

Emma Lehmann is a nature guide, retreat host, and founder of Naturemma, with over a decade of experience guiding people through the landscapes and rhythms of the Azores.

Originally from Scotland, Emma moved to the islands at a young age, an experience that shaped her deep connection to nature and her understanding of what it means to arrive, adapt, and truly feel at home in a place.

Since 2011, she has worked as a guide across São Miguel, creating immersive experiences that go beyond traditional tourism. Her approach invites a slower, more conscious way of exploring, where connection to the land becomes a pathway back to oneself.

Through Naturemma, Emma curates and hosts experiences that combine nature, creativity, and presence. Her work is rooted in authenticity and a deep respect for the natural world, offering spaces where people can reconnect, reflect, and experience the Azores in a meaningful and personal way.

Alongside her work in nature, Emma has trained in forest bathing and continues to explore the relationship between environment, wellbeing, and inner awareness. Her role within the retreat is to guide participants into a deeper connection with the island, its elements, and the quiet intelligence of nature.
